Professor Xie is a nation-wide renowned expert in the field of criminal procedure law. He currently is a commissioner of the Expert Consultation Committee of the Supreme People's Court, a commissioner of the Expert Consultation Committee of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and the Vice President of PRC Criminal Procedure Law Research Institute. Professor Xie is also the outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education in the new century, Shanghai leading talents, and a consultant of Shanghai judicial think-tank group.
Professor Xie currently serves as the Director of Shanghai Dingda Law Firm on a part-time basis, and he splits his time between academic researches and legal practice. Professor Xie has rich experiences in defending criminal cases and handling government investigations.
